- All City of Sun Prairie Residents that register to participate in the SUN PRAIRIE FOOD RESCU RESIDENTIAL COMPOST PILOT must first watch the informational webinar provided at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C1sK0R7MJFhGciHFjDG5_JBZgcEM15L9/view?usp=drive_link and agree to complete two surveys supplied by the City of Sun Prairie with the assistance of Green Box LLC in order to better understand residential composting habits within the City of Sun Prairie. City of Sun Prairie registrants that watch the aforementioned informational webinar and agree to complete the two surveys will receive a subsidized price of $10.00 per month (as opposed to the default Green Box Residential Rate of $26.00) for a single 4 gallon bucket swapped out every other week (and corresponding prices of $16.00 per month less for any other level of service). By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you acknowledge that you have watched and understand the information contained within the supplied webinar, and agree that you will complete the required feedback surveys.
- Green Box agrees to pick up compostable materials up to the amount contained in Green Box vessels on premises, at intervals specified in the service description upon member signup. Green Box will take nothing over the amount that can be contained within these vessels, unless otherwise agreed upon on a case by case basis.
- Members are encouraged to keep their buckets on their front stoop. This is the default option for service, and unless otherwise specified in the members bucket location notes (either upon signup, or later by using the member portal), the front stoop is considered the member’s bucket location.
- Bucket locations must be visible from the street, unless a member has received approval from a Green Box representative.
- A bucket is not considered out for service, unless it is placed in the member’s designated bucket location.
- A lost, stolen, or damaged bucket or lid will be replaced for free on the first occasion for a member.
- After this, they will be replaced at a cost to members, outlined below:
- Green Box will not leave a bucket unless there is a bucket to swap. Green Box will only swap as many buckets as are found in the given ‘bucket location’ upon arrival at that location. This means if a member is on a (2) bucket plan, and only places one bucket out, they will only receive one bucket in return.
- Bucket swaps will take place between 7am and 4pm on the day of service, unless otherwise communicated to the member.
- Members can cancel at any time. However, members will not be refunded for any service that was previously paid for but not received due to a premature cancellation. As such, it is recommended that members cancel at the end of their payment period.
- Any credits that the member had on their account at the time of cancellation will not be refunded.
- Contamination is defined as the disposal of non-compostable material in the member’s Green Box compost bucket. Members will receive notices/warnings of this contamination when it occurs. After the 3rd instance in a given year, the member is subject to a contamination fee on the schedule below:
- A Green Box Member may find themselves with credits on their account. These are not redeemable for cash outside of Green Box services or products. A member may be given these for a skipped service, customer service reasons, or other reasons not enumerated here.
- Green Box will not leave a bucket unless there is a bucket to swap.
- If a member misses a service, they can request either:
- Members can request an off route service, scheduled at the convenience of Green Box and the member. This service costs $15.00, plus $4.00 per additional bucket to be swapped. Members will receive a confirmation of the date of scheduled off route service, and will be expected to have the bucket out by 7am, per the normal terms of service. If this service is scheduled, and fails due to a member’s bucket not being out, the fee for this off route service will still be charged.
- The following reminders will be sent to members to help ensure successful service. Green Box agrees to no more and no fewer than the following reminders as a means of ensuring successful service for members. It is recommended that members put their buckets in their designated ‘bucket location’ when they receive the following reminders, to avoid any issues.
- Text Reminder:
- Email Reminder:
- Members who have missed a service may request a return service on that same route day, for a cost of $7.00. This is scheduled at the convenience of Green Box, and is not a guaranteed offer. If this return service is unsuccessful, the full $7.00 is still charged.
- Schedules are set and in advance, and not subject to change for member’s convenience. Member’s can skip a service in advance via the member portal or the service reminder text. Member’s can schedule an off route service in advance if needed. Schedules are subject to periodic review and change. These changes will never occur with less than (7) days notice, and will always be accompanied by at least (2) notices.
- Service days will be shown on your member service calendar, found on your member portal. Bucket swaps will take place between 7am and 4pm on member’s service days. If a member has not opted out of a service day by skipping via the member portal or the reminder text, they will be charged for this service - regardless of the success of that service.
- Members are expected to have their bucket(s) out by 7am on their scheduled service date, in their designated bucket location, or risk an incomplete/failed service, with no refund from Green Box.
- Members can skip service for any reason. Member’s will receive a credit equal to the total cost of a single service on their plan for that skipped date. (This amount is found by dividing the cost of the member’s plan, by the number of services that occur in the member’s plan period - for example, Every Other Week, One Bucket service, billed every (4) weeks costs $24.00, and contains 2 service dates, so each service date costs $12.00, and a member who skipped a service date on that plan would receive $12.00 in credit). This credit is applied to a member’s account, and can be used on the member’s next bill, whether that covered service, or a purchase from Green Box’s store.
- Members can skip service in the following ways:
- These terms are subject to periodic review and change. These reviews will be conducted on a tri-monthly basis, and members will be alerted to changes when they take place. The date of last change will be noted on the top of this document
